Terms of Service
Last updated October 13, 2026
These terms apply to Muzter, a crew scheduling service at muzter.com operated by BuzzAhh, Inc. ("BuzzAhh", "we", "us"). By using Muzter you agree to them.
1. What Muzter is
Muzter is scheduling software and a work registry. Two kinds of people use it: employers, who schedule their own crew and may hire through the registry, and workers, who are scheduled or list themselves as open to work.
We are not an employer, a joint employer, a staffing agency, a labor contractor, an employment agency, a payroll provider or a background-check provider. We do not employ anyone, set anyone's pay, decide who is hired, or supply workers. The employer decides who works, when, on what terms and for how much, and is the sole employer of its crew.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or over to use Muzter. An employer must not add anyone under 18 to a crew.
3. What an employer is responsible for
- Employment law, including minimum wage, overtime, meal and rest breaks, sick leave, final pay, workers' compensation, payroll taxes, work authorization, and any local scheduling ordinance. Muzter's warnings about hours and pay are arithmetic on the schedule you enter. They are not legal advice and do not cover every rule.
- Worker classification, and its consequences.
- Time and pay records. Muzter records no hours worked. A schedule is a plan the employer communicates, not a time record.
- Contact details it enters. The employer confirms it is allowed to give us a crew member's mobile number and email, and to have us email them about the employer's schedule. An employer may invite a crew member to texts; only the crew member can turn texts on.
- Lawful hiring decisions. Match scores rank and explain; they never reject anyone. Who an employer hires is its own decision and responsibility.
4. What a worker gets, and never pays
Muzter is free for workers. We do not charge a worker to look for work, be listed, apply, accept an offer or see their schedule. A worker's schedule link works without an account; anyone holding it can see and answer those shifts, so keep it private. A worker can decline shifts, set availability, turn texts on or off, and delete their profile.
5. The registry and profiles
Profiles are self-reported. We do not verify identity, licenses, skills or work history, and we do not run background checks. Contact details are released to an employer only when a worker accepts that employer's offer, or when the employer entered them as their own crew member.
6. Ratings, notes and references
A private rating or note an employer records is visible only to that employer. A reference is shown to nobody until the worker publishes it, and the worker can remove it. Do not write anything false, defamatory, discriminatory or retaliatory. We are not a consumer reporting agency, and Muzter must not be used to prepare consumer reports for employment screening.
7. SMS Terms
This section covers Muzter shift texts, sent by BuzzAhh, Inc.
- What you get. Texts about shifts your employer has offered or scheduled for you: new shifts, requests to confirm, reminders, and open shifts you can claim. No marketing.
- How you sign up. Only you can turn texts on, by ticking the box on your own schedule page. Your employer can invite you but cannot sign you up. You'll get one text confirming it.
- How often. Message frequency varies with how many shifts your employer schedules.
- Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Muzter does not charge for texts.
- Stopping. Reply STOP to any text to stop. You'll get one reply confirming it, and no more texts after that. Reply START to start again. You can also turn texts off on your schedule page.
- Help. Reply HELP for help, or email muzter@buzzahh.com.
- Not a condition. Agreeing to texts is not a condition of work or of using Muzter. Everything also comes by email.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your number and consent are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. More at Muzter shift texts.
8. Email
Muzter sends schedules, reminders and alerts by email as part of the service. Marketing email, if we send any, is separate and can be unsubscribed.
9. Plans and pricing
Muzter is in beta. Features may change or be withdrawn, and availability is not guaranteed. Free and paid plans are described in the product. We will not charge you without showing the price first and getting your agreement. Paid plans are billed in advance, can be cancelled at any time, and end at the end of the paid period; we do not refund partial periods except where the law requires.
10. Acceptable use
Don't scrape or bulk-download the registry; contact workers for anything other than the work you are offering; resell or republish profile data; impersonate anyone; upload malicious code; try to reach data that isn't yours; or use Muzter to break the law. We may remove content and suspend accounts.
11. Your data, and ending your account
You can download your schedule as a spreadsheet at any time. You can close your account by contacting us; we will delete or de-identify your data as the Privacy Policy describes, except where the law requires us to keep it.
12. Service and liability
Muzter is a beta service provided "as is", without warranty of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including unfilled shifts, lost work or wage claims. An employer is responsible for, and will defend us against, claims arising from its employment decisions, its wage and hour obligations, and the contact details it enters.
13. Changes and governing law
We will post changes here with a new date and email account holders about material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
